Princeton University's Tim Wenzlau Named October 17 Southern Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Princeton University's Tim Wenzlau (Jr., Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto) netted 10 goals on 18 shots to lead the No. 16 Tigers past No. 15 Bucknell University and No. 17 United States Naval Academy to earn the October 17 Men's Varsity Southern Division Player of the Week award.

Facing the Bison, Midshipmen and Blue Jays of Johns Hopkins University in key Southern Division-East Region contests, Wenzlau and the No. 16-ranked Tigers downed Bucknell (9-8 OT) on the road, before upending JHU (14-7 W) and Navy (10-9 OT) to take over possession of first place in the region race.

Against Bucknell in a nail-biter, he ripped home four goals on six shots, including a pair in overtime, drew two ejections and blocked a shot.  He added a hat-trick on four shots with three assists and an ejection drawn in a seven goal win over Johns Hopkins, before wrapping up the weekend with three goals on eight shots, four steals and a field block against Navy.

October 17 Southern Division Player of the Week Honor Roll: Alex Whittam (Johns Hopkins University); Brian Barron (Bucknell University); Andrew Rish (Washington & Jefferson College); Ryan Wells (Salem International University)
