Notre Dame College Splits Versus No. 13 University of Michigan & Salem International University on Day One of Western Division Championship

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Notre Dame College opened the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Western Divisional Championship with a 20-4 loss to No. 13 University of Michigan before routing Salem International University, 17-4, inside the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center at Indiana University.

Notre Dame (6-15) was highlighted by offensive efforts from Chelsea Law, Mariya Smith and Lucinda Darell, with the trio all registering braces (pairs of goals) on the day.
 
Victoria Cliff, Lucinda Darvell and Gina-Bella Mata'afa split time in the cage. Cliff picked up the win against Salem, registering seven stops. The Reno, Nev., native was also tagged with the loss to No. 13 Michigan, finishing with 12 blocks.
