Princeton University's Kristen Ward Notches April 9 Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week Award
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Princeton University goalie Kristen Ward (Sr., Sacramento, Calif./St. Francis) made nine saves in 31:12 of action to key a come-from-behind 10-9 victory over No. 19 Hartwick College to capture the April 9 Women's Varsity Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week award.
After conceding an early 3-1 lead to the Hawks in the first period, she orchestrated the Tigers' defense to prevent Hartwick from controlling the scoreboard in the second half.
