Pennsylvania State University-Behrend Goes 0-3 on Day Two of CWPA Division III East-vs.-West Tournament

WHEATON, Ill. -- Pennsylvania State University-Behrend could not overcome Carthage College (16-7 L), Connecticut College (16-4 L) and Wheaton College (14-3 L) in going 0-3 on Day Two of the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III East-vs.-West Tournament at Wheaton College's Chrouser Natatorium.

In game one, the Lions fell to Carthage 16-7.  After a tight first quarter, the Lady Reds outscored Behrend 10-4 in the second and third quarters to take command. Lindsay Musoleno (Hatfield, Pa./North Penn) led the offense with four goals. MaryEllen Spooner (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) contributed three goals.

In their second game of the day, Connecticut College jumped out to a 12-0 first half lead and never looked back, leading to a 16-4 victory.  Spooner added two more goals with Paula Rusca (Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young) and Musoleno adding one apiece.

With one game left, Behrend once again got behind early and could not overcome a strong first half by Wheaton in an 11-goal defeat.  Musoleno continued to play well with two more goals, whiel Rusca added another for Behrend.
