Harvard University's Monica Zdrojewski Named the February 6 Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week Award

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Monica Zdrojewski (Sr., Laguna Niguel, Calif./Dana Hills) of Harvard University collected five steals in two games to earn the February 6 Women's Varsity Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week.

Zdrojewski contributed to the Crimson's defensive effort with four steals against Iona (L, 15-14) and another in the match with Villanova (W, 13-1). Her efforts helped Harvard hold an opponent to just one goal for the first time since the 2008 campaign.

The honor is Zdrojewski's first defensive accolade and fourth CWPA weekly honor. She owns two Southern Division and one Northern Division Player of the Week honors and earned a Rookie of the Week award during her inaugural campaign.
