Harvard University's Devan Kennifer Named the February 6 Southern Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Devan Kennifer (Sr., Monterey, Calif./Santa Catalina) of Harvard University collected 12 points and seven steals in the Crimson's opening weekend to earn recognition as the February 6 Women's Varsity Southern Division Player of the Week.

Kennifer deposited nine goals over the two game weekend to help her squad to a 1-1 result. Six of her markers came in the fourth quarter of an ill-fated comeback attempt against Iona College (L, 15-14). She had one more score earlier in the contest with the Gaels and had six steals.

In the second game of the season, the senior co-captain scored twice and added a pair of steals in a victory over Villanova University (W, 13-1).

Kennifer is a three-time Player of the Week honoree and has five weekly accolades to her name. Most recently, she was named Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week on April 11, 2011.
