Harvard University's Thompson Named September 6 CWPA Northern Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Alex Thompson (Sr., Oak Park, Calif./Agoura) of the Harvard University men's water polo team posted seven goals with an assist, including four goals in a 12-8 victory over California Lutheran University, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Invitational to earn the September 6 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Northern Division Player of the Week award.

In the team's season-opening exhibition loss (9-8 L) to the Boston Metro Elite water polo club, he added two goals and an assist, before chipping in a solo marker in a 16-7 loss to No. 14-nationally ranked Saint Francis College (N.Y.).
