University of Maryland's Allison Campbell Named ACWPC Honorable Mention All-America
COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Allison Campbell (Maple Ridge, B.C., Canada/Moscrop Secondary) of the University of Maryland was named an honorable mention All-America selection by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).
Campbell, a sophomore attacker, tallied a team-high 56 goals in 33 games for the Terps. She added 33 assists for a total of 89 points.
Tabbed the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Southern Division Freshman of the Year in 2010, Campbell also racked up a squad-best 118 steals in 2011 while leading Maryland to a 19-14 record overall, including a 5-0 clip in CWPA Southern Division play. The Terps finished third in the CWPA Eastern Championship, matching their best-ever showing (2009).
