BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Jovana Sekulic (Fr., Belgrade, Serbia/The Episcopal Academy (Pa.)) contributed 14 goals during a 2-2 weekend for No. 20-ranked Princeton University at the 2022 University of California-Santa Barbara Winter Invitational. For her inaugural collegiate effort, Sekulic is named the January 24 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Rookie of the Week.
She opened the weekend and her collegiate tenure with six goals and three drawn exclusions as the Tigers downed No. 24 California Baptist University on Friday, January 21. On Saturday, January 22, she chipped in four goals during a 12-9 handling of Iona College prior to finding the back twine twice in a 15-14 loss to the No. 16/host Gauchos.
On Sunday, January 23, she concluded her first weekend of intercollegiate competition by tallying another pair in a 10-9 overtime loss to No. 11 the University of California-San Diego.
