The polls are administrated by the Collegiate Water Polo Association. United States Water Polo Inc., USA Today, the NCAA, and College Sports Television (CSTV) have permission to reprint the poll on their websites as well. Anyone else wishing to do so must receive written permission from the CWPA prior to publishing.

Varsity polls are released to nationwide media outlets and posted on the CWPA website every Wednesday by 5:00 PM EST. Collegiate Club and CWPA Top 10 polls are posted on the CWPA website and are released to limited media outlets.
