2010 Men's National Collegiate Club Schedule & Scores

CEDAR CITY, Utah -- The University of Oregon received scoring from 12 different players, including four goals by Harrison Tingler (Fr., Newport, Calif.), as the No. 6 ranked Ducks flew past the Quakers of No. 15 the University of Pennsylvania 18-8 in the ninth place game at the 2010 Men's National Collegiate Club Championship at Southern Utah University's Sorenson Center.

Oregon's path to victory was layed out in the first period and a half as the Ducks ran out to a 9-0 lead, a deficit which the Quakers were not able to overcome in the final 17:38 of regulation.

For Oregon, Kyle McDermott (Fr., Stockton, Calif.) and Zach Yensen (Sr., Lake Oswego, Calif.) chipped in a hat-trick and a pair of markers, respectively, to join Tingler in leading the Ducks's scorers.

Penn's 10th place finish equals the mark of the last Quakers' club team to make the National Collegiate Club Championship field as the 2008 squad also finished 10th, three places off hte program's record seventh place finish from the 2007 and 2002 championships.

A key to Oregon's victory was the Ducks' ability to limit Patrick Buck (Sr., Ann Arbor, Mich.) to a pair of goals, while holding Ryan Percy (So., D.M., Trinidad), Brady Sieber (Gr., Erie, Pa.) and Carlos Alonso (Fr., Barcelona, Spain) to single strikes.  In addition, Nick Grover (Fr., Pasadena, Calif.), Blake Winston (So., Dallas, Texas) and Mike Czubakowski (Sr., Nashville, Tenn.) were kept off the scoreboard.

In goal, Anthony Nuccio (Jr., Capistrano, Calif.) and David Jampolsky (So., Eugene, Ore.) combined for nine saves to lead Oregon to victory, while Alex Richardson (So., El Segundo, Calif.) recorded eight saves for the Quakers.
