Lindenwood University's Danielle Fleuriot Named April 11 Heartland Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Lindenwood University's Danielle Fleuriot registered 15 goals, three assists and seven steals in a 4-0 weekend for the Lions to claim honors as the April 11 Heartland Division Player of the Week.

The victories helped the Lions clinch the No. 1 seed for the Heartland Division Championship tournament set for April 16-17 at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.

Playing miles away from home at Washington University in St. Louis (Mo.), Lindenwood knocked off Grinnell (17-2 W) to open the tournament before Fleuriot single-handidly disposed of Illinois State University with four of her team's eight goals in a tight 8-7 victory.

Following a 14-6 win against St. Louis University, Fleuriot took over another game burying the go-ahead score in overtime as Lindenwood picked up an 8-4 OT victory against the host Bears of Washington to conclude an 8-0 regular season in Heartland Division play.
