CWPA to Broadcast Entire 2009 Men's Division III Club Championship This Weekend Over Internet

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) has reached an agreement with Stretch Internet to provide live, streaming video of the league's 2009 men's postseason championships over the next three weeks beginning this weekend with the Division III National Collegiate Club Championship at Bowdoin College on November 7-8.

The CWPA will provide live coverage of all 12-games of the championship beginning with the 11:00 a.m. matchup between the host Polar Bears of Bowdoin College and the Bears of Washington University (Mo.) on Saturday, November 7.  The Middlebury College-Monmouth College, New York University-Grove City College, Tufts University-Grinnell College, consolation and semifinal games will also be streamed on Saturday, before the league presents the fifth, third, first and seventh placement games on Sunday, November 8.

Following coverage of the 12-game, two-day Division III Club Championship, live from Brunswick, Maine, streaming coverage will also be provided for the 32-game, three-day National Collegiate Club Championship (Nov. 13-15) at the University of Florida and the 12-game, three-day Varsity Eastern Championship (Nov. 20-22) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

In the history of the sport, the CWPA becomes the first collegiate water polo conference in the nation to offer live streaming of games, an effort which the league hopes to expand to a Game of the Week format over the next year.

Access to each individual contest through Stretch Internet costs $10 per event. Viewers can also purchase an individual tournament pass for $25 per sport which grants viewers access to every available broadcast during the weekend.
