UCLA Tops November 5 Men's National Collegiate Club Poll

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The University of California-Los Angeles broke a tie with the University of California to claim sole possession of the No. 1 spot in the November 5 Men's National Collegiate Club Top 20 Poll. UCLA, which downed Cal 8-6 last weekend to win the Pacific Coast Division title, also becomes a unanimous No. 1 selection as the Bruins earned 100 points.

Cal slips to No. 3 this week as the University of Utah garnered 91 points to edge out the Bears for the runner-up position.  Florida International University drops back to fourth, while University of California-Santa Barbara, which placed third in the final Pacific Coast Division standings, jumps 12 spots to No. 5.

University of Arizona, University of California-Irvine, California Polytechnic State University, Michigan State University and California State University-Chico round out the Top 10 as only UCLA held onto their ranking from the Ocotber 29 poll.

The trend of change continues in the No. 11-20 positions as University of California-Santa Cruz, University of Texas, Arizona State University, University of California-Davis, University of Washington, University of Florida, University of Michigan, University of Colorado, Lindenwood University and University of Oregon complete the Top 20 selections for games through November 1.
