Pacific Coast Division Championship Schedule Revised to Two Sites
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- This weekend's Pacific Coast Division Championship hosted by California Polytechnic State University has been revised to two sites (Cuesa College and Sinsheimer Pool). On Saturday, games will be hosted at Cuesta, while Sunday's games will be at Sinsheimer.
A match-up of the four best teams from the Southern Region and the four best of the Northern Region, the championship features seven nationally ranked teams as co-No. 1 teams University of California-Los Angeles and University of California-Berkeley will join No. 7 California State University-Chico, No. 8 University of California-Davis, No. 13 University of California-Irvine, No. 17 University of California-Santa Barbara, No. 19 Cal Poly and unranked University of California-Santa Cruz with one berth to the National Collegiate Club Championship at the University of Florida at stake.
Overall, only three teams have won a Pacific Division title as UCLA captured the 2005 crown and California Baptist University claimed the 1999 title while Cal Poly has captured nine championships (1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008).
