Gannon's Kenny Milburn Named October 12 Men's Varsity Soutthern Division Rookie of the Week Award
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Gannon University's Kenny Milburn (Fr., Camp Hill, Pa./Cumberland Valley) scored nine goals in four games to lead the Golden Knights to a 3-1 record and earn the October 12 Varsity Southern Division Rookie of the Week award.
The true freshman opened the weekend with two goals against Salem International University as the Golden Knights captured a 13-6 league game and a 10-5 non-league contest against the Tigers on October 10 at home.
He added four goals in a 19-10 win against Penn State University-The Behrend College before tacking on a hat-trick with three goals against Mercyhurst College in a 16-11 loss to raise his scoring total to 19 goals in 20 matches this season.
Gannon, which concluded its Southern Division schedule over the weekend, completes the season 6-2 in the Southern-West Region to place second behind Mercyhurst (8-0).
