Shake-Up in the Top 10: Utah Wins 2009 UC-Davis Men's Club Invitational

DAVIS, Calif. -- No. 14-nationally ranked University of Utah stunned the collegiate club world over the weekend knocking off University of California-Davis (5-2 W), No. 2 California Polytechnic State University (12-8 W), No. 4 University of California-Los Angeles (11-5 W) and No. 16 University of California (8-4 W) to capture the 2009 UC-Davis Men's Invitational. California, No. 6 Arizona, UCLA and No. Florida International followed in second through fifth place, respectively.

Overall, the Top four teams in the country did not fair well at the tournament as No. 1 Arizona State University finished seventh in the 12 team field, one spot ahead of No. 2 ranked Cal Poly.

The results open the door for a new No. 1 team in the country with most of the contenders to the top spot all having losses.
