F&M's Dave Apple Named September 28 Mid-Atlantic Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Dave Apple (So., Hatfield, Pa./Pennridge) of the Franklin & Marshall College men's water polo team racked up seven goals to account for over half of the Diplomats' scoring in an 11-9 win over the University of Delaware to earn the September 28 Mid-Atlantic Division Player of the Week award. The game marked F&M's first-ever home water polo game.

Following a five-meter goal in the first period, he added a hat-trick in the second period of play against the Blue Hens before tackcing on a pair in the third period and one in the fourth.  Overall, he tallied six of his team's seven goals in the final 21 minutes of play.
