Arizona State's Wesley Sjoholm Named September 14 Southwest Division Player of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Arizona State University's Wesley Sjoholm (Jr., Albuquerque, N.M.) scored 16 goals and handed out 10 assists to lead the No. 2-nationally ranked Sun Devils and earn the men's club September 14 Southwest Division Player of the Week award.
Overall, he helped Arizona State knock off Northern Arizona University (21-1 W), No. 4 University of Arizona (19-17 OT W) and University of Arizona "B" (19-5 W) as the Sun Devils took the early lead in the Southwest Division regular season title race.
A two-time National Collegiate Club All-America selection (2007- Honorable Mention, 2008 - Third Team), the award adds to Sjoholm's list of accomplishments as he previously earned All-Southwest Division first team honors 2007 and 2008 after garnering second team recognition in 2006.
