Mercyhurst College Announces 13 Men's Recruits for Class of 2014
ERIE, Pa. -- Head
coach Curtis Robinette of the Mercyhurst College
men’s water polo team announced the addition of 13 players to
the 2010 men’s water polo roster. Robinette will now have 20
players ready to compete during the 2010 season.
"Overall, this is the largest recruiting class we have ever had at
Mercyhurst," said Robinette. "We're adding some very talented
players who will compete for starting positions right away."
Robinette's recruiting class consists of six drivers, three
goalkeepers, three utility players and a center ranging from all
over the country, Canada and Serbia.
"This class will add some much needed depth. It will also help us
fill some holes in key positions and build for the future."
Last season the Lakers played with a roster of only nine players
that went 13-6 and captured the CWPA Southern Division, Western
Region regular-season title with a perfect 8-0 mark. After the
starting the season 1-2, the Lakers rolled off 11 straight wins,
including three over cross-town rival Gannon.
"We did very well last season. I expect a lot of good things from
this roster. Hopefully we repeat upon our success from 2009 as we
move forward."
