CWPA Releases 2010 Men's Collegiate Club Big Ten Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) has released the schedule for the 2010 Men's National Collegiate Club Big Ten Division.

The University of Michigan and University of Iowa will host the two regular season tournaments on the weekends of October 2-3 and October 16-17, respectively, before the division championship tournament on October 30-31 at Purdue University.

Comprised of the University of Illinois, University of Iowa, University of Michigan, University of Wisconsin, Indiana University, Michigan State University, Northwestern University and Purdue University, the Big Ten Division will feature 32 regular season games and 12 championship contests as the eight teams will battle for a berth to the 2010 National Collegiate Club Championship at Southern Utah University.

In the history of the division, Michigan State has been the dominant team capturing the 2000, 2006 and 2008 National Collegiate Club Championships, while the University of Michigan took the 2003 National crown. 

In the only Big Ten Division title race, as the Big Ten institiutions joined the CWPA prior to the 2009 men's season, Michigan State captured the title and will seek to retain the crown in 2010.
