Hartwick College Seeks Women's Water Polo Assistant Coach
ONEONTA, N.Y. -- Hartwick College, an independent, residential liberal arts college enrolling approximately 1480 full-time undergraduates, embraces the teacher-scholar model, with teaching excellence as the first priority. Hartwick College is accepting applications for an Assistant Coach for its nationally prominent NCAA Division I women’s water polo program. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, ten-month position running August 1 through May 31. Hartwick College competes in the CWPA. This position assists the Head Coach in all aspects of the daily operation of a successful Division I intercollegiate women’s water polo program. Responsibilities include but not limited to: recruiting, the organization and conduct of practices/competitions, overseeing the academic progress of student-athletes, organization of team travel, scouting and evaluation of opponents, the development and fostering of alumni and community relationships, promotional activities, and overall administration of the program in accordance with the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, Hartwick College, CWPA, NCAA, and other related association rules and regulations. The position will include teaching in the required physical education service program and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Bachelor’s degree and three years of coaching and/or playing experience at the college or equivalent level required, and must be knowledgeable of NCAA Division I rules and regulations. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable through the College.
