CWPA Releases 2010 Women's Club All-Conference Teams
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- A total of 183 student-athletes were named All-Conference earlier today as the Collegiate Water Polo Association released the 2010 Women's National Collegiate Club All-Conference Teams.
Voted on by each division's coaches/team contacts based up on nominations from each program, the All-Conference teams highlight at least 14 players from each division who excelled in the field of play during the 2010 season.
In addition, the Most Valuable Player and Coach of the Year in each division were announced as selections were voted on by each division's membership with the highest vote recipient earning the award for the 2010 season.
Overall, 91 athletes picked up First Team honors, while 92 were recognized with Second Team accolades, from the CWPA's 13 women's club divisions as a total of 66 schools earned an All-Conference player in 2010.
