Hartwick's Jessica McKee Named May 3 Women's Varsity Northern Division Player of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Hartwick College's Jessica McKee (Jr., Tustin, Calif./Laguna Beach) scored 10 times, including six goals versus the University of Maryland, to lead the Hawks in scoring at the 2010 Eastern Championship and earn the May 3 Women's Varsity Northern Division Player of the Week award.
She posted six markers in a 13-12 overtime win against the host Terrapins in the opening round before contributing a goal in an 8-7 loss to then No. 14-ranked Indiana University in the semifinals for the then No. 11-ranked Hawks. She wrapped up the weekend with a hat-trick of three goals in an 11-7 loss to Princeton University in the championship's third place game.
The team leader in goals (74), points (114) and drawn kickouts (41) this season, she added 40 assists and 37 steals as the Hawks wrapped up the season 25-6 and captured the Northern Division Championship.
For her career, she now has 193 goals and 120 assists for 313 points with 112 steals and 132 drawn kickouts through three seasons as she ranks sixth in goals, ninth in steals and fourth in assists, drawn kickouts and points in Hawks' history.
