Defending National Champion Cal Poly Remains No. 1 in April 22 Women's National Collegiate Club Poll

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The defending champion will also enter the 2010 National Collegiate Club Championship at the University of Arizona as the No. 1 team in the country as California Polytechnic State University earned 100 points to rank as a unanimous top pick for a second week in the April 22 Women's Collegiate Club Top 20 Poll.

The first six positions in the poll remain unchanged as the University of California-Los Angeles, University of Notre Dame, University of Michigan, University of California-Santa Cruz and University of Oregon held on at No. 2-6, while the University of California-Davis climbs up to No. 7, with the University of Pennsylvania, Grand Valley State University and Michigan State University rounding out the Top 10.

The No. 11-14 spots remain unchanged with University of California-Berkeley, University of Utah, University of Colorado and University of California-San Diego, while the University of Arizona and Texas A&M University stand at No. 15 and 16.

Boston College and Middlebury College are tied at No. 17, with University of Central Florida and New York University wrap up the Top 20 rankings as the duo are tied at No. 19.

Overall, Cal Poly, UCLA, Notre Dame, Michigan, UC-Santa Cruz, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Grand Valley State, Utah, Arizona, Texas A&M, Middlebury, Boston College, Central Florida and NYU will join with Illinois State University in competing for the 2010 National Collegiate Club Championship at the University of Arizona on April 23-25.
