Princeton's Brittany Zwirner Earns April 12 Women's Varsity Southern Division Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Princeton University's Brittany Zwirner (Fr., Santa Ana, Calif./Foothill) tallied five goals, including a hat-trick versus George Washington University, to lead the Tigers past George Washington, Maryland and Bucknell and earn recognition as the April 12 Women's Varsity Southern Division Rookie of the Week.

The recognition marks the third time Zwirner has picked up the Rookie of the Week accolade this season as she previously garnered the award on February 22 and March 15.

Last week at home in DeNunzio Pool, she posted three goals against George Washington and added two more in an 11-6 victory over the University of Maryland, before chipping in a pair of steals in a 4-3 win against Bucknell University.  The victories moved Princeton to within a game of Bucknell for the division lead.

To date, Zwirner has 36 goals in 23 games to rank among the Tigers' top five-leading scorers this season.
