Penn's Elizabeth Lawrence & Natasa Kordic Named April 12 Women's Mid-Atlantic Division Co-Players of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- University of Pennsylvania co-captains Elizabeth Lawrence (Sr., Albany, N.Y./Choate Rosemary Hall) and Natasa Kordic (Sr., Sacramento, Calif./Granite Bay) led the Quakers to a 3-0 record and the title at the 2010 Mid-Atlantic Division Championship at the University of Virginia to share honors as the April 12 Women's Mid-Atlantic Division Co-Players of the Week.

The championship marks the fifth consecutive division title for the Quakers and the sixth in program history following crowns in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Kordic led the team in the field with 14 goals and eight steals, including a four-goal effort as the Quakers defeated Pennsylvania State University 9-4 in the championship game.

In cage, Lawrence provided solid defense amassing nine steals, four assists and 27 saves over three games including 13-3 and 15-5 victories over the University of Pittsburgh and University of Richmond in the first two rounds of the championship.

The duo will lead the Quakers into the 2010 National Collegiate Club Championship at the University of Arizona on April 23-25 as Penn will seek the program's first national championship in water polo.
