Washington's Tara Bensch Named April 12 Women's Heartland Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Tara Bensch (Sr., Washington, D.C./Thomas Jefferson) of Washington University in St. Louis scored seven goals, handed out a pair of assists and grabbed four steals to lead the Bears to a sixth place finish at the Heartland Division Championship and earn the April 12 Women's Heartland Division Player of the Week award.

She aided Washington in nearly pulling off an upset of Carleton College in the fifth place game as the Bears fell 5-3 following a loss to Knox College (11-7 L) and a victory over Grinnell College (5-0 Forfeit).
