Brown's Lauren Presant Named April 5 Women's Varsity Northern Division Co-Player of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Brown University's Lauren Presant (Sr., Bonita, Calif./Bonita Vista) posted 15 goals and three assists in seven games to lead the No. 20-ranked Bears to a 3-4 record on the West Coast and earn the April 5 Women's Varsity Western Division Co-Player of the Week award.
She shares the award with teammate and fellow team captain Sarah Glick (Sr., Bonita, Calif./Bonita Vista) who contributed 14 goals and 19 assists in seven games for the Bears last week against Division III No. 1 ranked Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (8-3 W) and No. 5 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (12-4 W), No. 1 ranked the University of Southern California (15-6 L), No. 14 San Diego State University (10-5 L), California Baptist University (12-8 L), No. 17 the University of California-San Diego (11-7 L) and California State University-San Bernardino (7-6 W OT).
Presant posted back-to-back hat-tricks versus Pomona-Pitzer and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, before tossing in pairs of goals against USC, Cal Baptist, UC-San Diego and San Diego State. She wrapped up the weekend with a goal against CSU-San Bernardino as she combined with Glick to post 29 goals and 22 assists for the Bears.
