2010 Western Division Championship Format & Schedule Changed to Four Team Format

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The Collegiate Water Polo Association Women's Varsity Western Division Championship set for April 24 at the University of Michigan has been changed to a four-team format.  The four-game tournament will decide the division's two automatic qualifiers to the Eastern Championship.

Contested among Michigan, Indiana University, Gannon University and Mercyhurst College, the championship will begin at 10:00 a.m. when the 1st and 4th seeds clash.  Following a meeting between the 2nd and 3rd seeds at 11:30 a.m. to decide the final automatic qualifier for the 2010 Eastern Championship at the University of Maryland on April 30-May 2, the Loser of Game 1 and the Loser of Game 2 will meet in the Third Place game at 3:30 p.m.

The champion of the division will be crowned following the 5:00 p.m. title game.
