Gannon Uses Outburst to Overcome Penn State Behrend 15-1 at PSU-Behrend Invite
ERIE, Pa. -- The
Gannon University women’s water polo team beat Penn State
University-The Behrend College 15-1 at the Behrend Invitational on
the morning of Sunday, March 21.
Gannon led 6-0 after one and 11-1 at halftime against the Lions.
The Knights kept it going in the second half, outscoring Behrend
4-0 to create the final margin.
Caitlin Andrews (Tustin,
Calif./Tustin), Annie Greenhill
(Brea, Calif./Brea Olinda), Colleen
Harriger (Erie, Pa./McDowell),
Kendra Plackemeier (Bonsall,
Calif./Fallbrook), Sarah Anderson
(Erie, Pa./McDowell) and Laurel
Martinez (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks)
each scored two goals to lead the offense. Molly
Andrews (Tustin, Calif./Tustin),
Jackie Rzymek (Erie,
Pa./McDowell) and Stephanie Komorek
(Erie, Pa./McDowell) added a score apiece.
Libbie Guina (Houston, Texas/Clear
Brook) made two saves in net.
