Concordia Handles George Washington 10-7
IRVINE, CA - Senior Marissa Stamler registered a team-high four goals and four ejections drawn, but the George Washington University women's water polo team dropped a 10-7 decision at Concordia University (Calif.).
Stamler's four goals moved her within six of GW's Top 5 all-time goal scorers, but the Colonials shot just 7-of-27 and couldn't get any closer than three goals in the second half. The Eagles jumped ahead 3-1 after a quarter, led 6-2 at halftime and wouldn't lead by less than three in the second half.
Sophomores Allison Peotter, Megan Walker and Monica Hanson added a goal apiece and junior goalkeeper Charlotte Schou made 13 stops in the loss.
