MIT's Carrie DeBoer Named March 8 Women's Collegiate Club North Atlantic Division Player of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Carrie DeBoer (Jr., Western Spring, Ill.) of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology scored 14 goals, dished out 11 assists and grabbed 24 steals with a pair of saves to lead the Engineers to a 3-1 weekend and earn the March 8 Women's National Collegiate Club North Atlantic Division Player of the Week.
Overall, she aided MIT in defeating Wellesley College (8-6 W), Bowdoin College (15-8 W) and Bates College (12-4 W) as the Engineers completed the weekend 3-1 with a loss to Middlebury College (9-5 L).
MIT will enter the 2010 North Atlantic Division Championship on April 10-11 at Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont as the No. 2 seed. The Engineers will be seeking to claim the program's fourth North Atlantic Division crown following victories in 2005-07.
