George Washington Manages Gannon 14-4 at Princeton Invitational
PRINCETON, N.J.--
The Gannon University women’s water polo team lost to George
Washington University 14-4 on day two of the Princeton
Invitational.
GW went ahead 5-1 after the first quarter and outscored the Lady
Knights 3-1 in the second. Things didn’t improve for GU in
the second half, as the Colonials added six more scores.
Annie Greenhill (Brea, Calif./Brea Olinda) scored
twice, while Kendra Plackemeier (Bonsall,
Calif./Fallbrook) and Liz Clary (Canton, Ohio/Glen
Oak) each scored a goal for Gannon. Janelle
Bartman (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Stevenson) made seven saves
in net and Libbie Guina (Houston, Texas/Clear
Brook) recorded two blocks.
