Notre Dame Stays at No. 1 for Fourth Week in February 18 Women's Collegiate Club Poll

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. --The University of Notre Dame saw its point total from the February 11 poll slip by a single point, but the Fighting Irish garnered 97 points this week to hold onto the No. 1 ranking in the Women's National Collegiate Club Poll for a fourth consecutive week as the league released the February 18 poll.

Notre Dame, which garnered 98 points last week, held onto the No. 1 ranking for two points as the University of California-Davis held firm at No. 2 with 95 points.  Overall, the Top Five positions in the poll remain unchanged from the February 11 balloting as the University of Oregon, California Polytechnic State University and the University of Michigan held onto the No. 3-5 slots for another week.

In all, only two teams in the Top 10 changed position from the February 11 poll as the University of California-Santa Cruz moved in front of the University of Arizona for the sixth spot in this week's poll.  The University of California-Los Angeles, University of Pennsylvania and University of Utah round out the Top 10 as the Bruins, Quakers and Utes held on at No. 8-10, respectively.

The University of Texas, Michigan State University, Grand Valley State University and University of California-San Diego account for No. 11-14, while Arizona State University used a 3-1 weekend in division play to move from unranked to No. 15 this week.

The University of Central Florida, California State University-Chico, University of Florida, Boston College and Texas A&M University complete the Top 20 as 26 teams received at least one point in the February 18 poll of coaches.
