Bucknell's Alison Carter Named February 15 Women's Varsity Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Bucknell University goalie Alison Carter (Sr., Costa Mesa, Calif./Newport Harbor) made 42 saves with 27 goals against in 111 minutes of play to lead the Bison to a 3-1 record at the Bucknell Invitational and earn the February 15 Women's Varsity Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week award.

She recorded three double-digit save outings on the weekend as Carter posted 13 stops against Gannon University (19-4 W) in 24 minutes and Wagner College (8-7 W) in 32 minutes before posting 12 saves in the tournament finale against No. 19-nationally ranked Indiana Unviersity (13-7 L) in 32 minutes.  Further, she added four stops over 22:42 against Mercyhurst College (14-5 W) to wrap up the weekend with a .609 save percentage over 110:42 between the pipes.

For her career, Carter now has 502 saves to rank third on the Bucknell career list.
