No. 19 Indiana University Stops Siena & Bucknell at Bison Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The No. 19 Indiana University Hoosiers (7-4, 0-0 CWPA West) wrapped up play in convincing fashion at the Bison Invitational on Sunday with wins over Siena College and tournament host Bucknell University. The Hoosiers sprinted past Siena,16-5, and defeated Bucknell, 13-7, to pick up their fifth and sixth straight victories.

The Hoosiers got off to a quick start against Siena, scoring the game's first four goals, before the Saints rallied in the second period to make it a 6-5 Indiana lead at the break. The Hoosiers took control during the second half in a big way, reeling off ten unanswered goals to runaway with their fifth consecutive win.

Nicole Redder led the charge with a career-high five goals, to go along with one assist and one steal. Also notching a career-high was freshman Katie Black with three scores. Jakie Köhli scored three goals and dished out two assists for the Hoosiers. Lauren Wyckoff fired in two goals, while Kelsey Campbell, Kate Dunn and Hanna Eimstad each tallied one in the win.

Cassie Wyckoff made the start at goalkeeper against Siena, finishing with six saves and one assist. Katie Carson came on in the second half and made eight stops on 13 shot attempts.

Indiana jumped out to an 8-1 lead late in the second quarter against Bucknell, and never looked back, never allowing the Bison to get within four goals for the remainder of the contest.

Against Bucknell, the Hoosiers were led in scoring by Redder with four goals and Lauren Wyckoff with three. Wyckoff also tied a career-high with four assists. Campbell notched two scores and Kara Butler, Köhli, Kelly Palmberg and Nicole Sands each added one.

Cassie Wyckoff played a complete game in the cage and finished with 12 saves on 26 Bison shot attempts. She also collected a pair of steals in the win.
