No. 9 Hartwick Swamps Cal State Monterey Bay 15-6
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- No. 9-nationally ranked Hartwick College remained unbeaten in the California State University-Bakersfield Roadrunner Invitational on Sunday morning with a 15-6 blowout of California State University-Monterey Bay. The Hawks improve to 4-0 at the tournament with one game remaining and stay undefeated against the Otters with a 3-0 all-time record. The Hawks dominated play throughout the match, outscoring the Otters in every quarter. Hartwick led 8-3 at the half and 13-5 after three periods of play in the win.
Christina Evans (Cedar Hills, Utah/Lone Peak) paced the Hawks with four goals and one assist. Kirsten Hudson (Wellington, New Zealand/Sacred Heart), Siann Ells-Tewhiu (Wellington, New Zealand/Queen Margaret College), and Allyssa Analytis (Montreal, Quebec/Sacred Heart) each added two tallies.
Jess Dorman (Auckland, New Zealand/Diocesan) and Hayley Cox (El Segundo, Calif./El Segundo) combined to record 11 saves in the match. Dorman played the first half stopping six Otter shots, while Cox made five saves in the second half.
