CWPA League Office to be Closed on February 11

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The Collegiate Water Polo Association league office in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania will be closed on Thursday, February 11, due to blizzard conditions, high winds and poor driving conditions in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Widespread storm totals of eight to twelve inches are expected from northern Virginia into Southern New England. Some locations on the East Coast are expected to pick up a foot to near twenty inches where the most intense bands setup.

Low pressure strengthened rapidly off the East Coast and is resulting in very strong winds. These gusty winds will continue to impact not only the Northeast but also portions of the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley and Southeast. Trees and power lines may be downed in some locations.

The combination of wind and snow (both falling and blowing) will lead to blizzard or near-blizzard conditions along a corridor from Washington, D.C. to New York City to Southern New England. Blizzard warnings have been issued for portions of this area.

The heavy snow should be gone by sunrise Thursday, but gusty winds will continue to linger along with snow showers across the interior.

Teams and fans should be aware:
