Michigan's Leah Robertson Talks About Upcoming 2010 Season
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan two-meter defender Leah Robertson (Sr., Newport Beach, Calif./Newport Harbor) recently sat down with MGoBlue.com to talk about the defending Eastern Champion Wolverines' outlook for the 2010 season.
A two-time All-America selection, five-time CWPA Western Division Player of the Week and three-time CWPA Western Division All-Conference selection, she will look to lead Michigan to its third straight Eastern title this year.
Named a team captain for 2010, Robertson holds the program records for steals in a game (9), season (121) and career (299), while ranking second on the U-M career drawn kickout list (136), sixth on the assists list (103) and eighth on the points (217) and goals lists (114).
The No. 10-nationally ranked Wolverines will open the season this weekend on January 23-24 by hosting the Michigan Kick-Off Tournament with No. 3 and defending national champion University of California-Los Angeles, No. 6 San Jose State, University No. 7 San Diego State University, No. 19 Indiana University, University of California-San Diego and Colorado State University.
