St. Francis College Teams with NYAC & Swim Strong to Host Water Polo Clinic on Oct. 4
Brooklyn Heights, NY--- St. Francis College in conjunction with the NYAC and the Swim Strong Foundation hosted a free-age group water polo clinic for swimmers at the college’s pool on Saturday, October 4.
The event was attended by 40 youngsters from all over the five boroughs. Members of the St. Francis College and New York Athletic Club’s Men’s and Women’s water polo team gave instructions to all who attended after a spirited scrimmage between the NYAC and SFC women’s squads.
The events of the day were highlighted by the guest appearance of US Olympic Water Polo Team Silver Medalist Jesse Smith, whose team exceeded expectations by challenging the world’s best in Beijing and played for the Gold against Hungry.
Smith offered several words of encouragement to all who attended, signed autographs, posed for photographs, and of course, showed off his silver medal.
