Monmouth's Joe Moran Named Oct. 6 Heartland Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Monmouth College's Joe Moran (Jr., Naperville, Ill.) scored 10 goals, handed out six assists and grabbed eight steals to earn the October 6 Heartland Division Player of the Week award and lead his team to a 3-1 record to clinch the Heartland Division Championship No. 1 seed.

Overall, he led Monmouth to wins over Knox College (9-7 W OT), Grinnell College (10-9 W) and Macalester College (8-7 W) before dropping an 11-8 decision to Saint John's University.

Monmouth will continue the CWPA season on October 25-26 against Knox, Grinnell, Macalester, Saint John's, Carleton College and Saint Mary's University at the Heartland Division Championship tournament at Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota.
