Eight for '08: 2008 Eastern Championship Teams Announced
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- For the eight teams that earned a spot in the 2008 Eastern Championship set for November 21-23 at the United States Naval Academy's Lejeune Hall, the real work begins now.
Navy, Princeton University, Bucknell University and Division III Eastern Champion Johns Hopkins University will represent the South, while Brown University, Saint Francis College (N.Y.), Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Iona College represent the North as each team captured their first round game at the 2008 Northern and Southern Championships at MIT and Princeton on Saturday, November 8.
Final seedings for the championship for the Eastern Championship are dependent upon each team's place in their division championship and third place games on November 9.
