USC, Johns Hopkins and Saint Francis Top Nov. 19 Varsity, Division III and CWPA Polls

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The University of Southern California and Saint Francis College (N.Y.) remain No. 1 in the Varsity Top 20 and Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Top 10 polls, respectively, while Johns Hopkins University climbed past the University of Redlands and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges to take over the top spot in the Division III Top 10 as the November 19 Men's Varsity Polls were released by the CWPA league office.

For another week the Trojans of USC are ranked as the best in the nation after claiming the No. 1 ranking eight weeks ago for the first time since 2007. Like the previous five weeks, the Trojans garnered 100 points and are a unanimous choice as the top team in the nation.

Although the top five of the poll remains unchanged with the University of California-Los Angeles, Stanford University, the University of California-Berkeley and Pepperdine University defending their positions, the No. 6-10 positions in the poll experienced a radical shift.

The University of California-Santa Barbara moved up one place to No. 6, Long Beach State University climbed three places to No. 7, Loyola Marymount University slipped back to No. 8, while the University of California-Irvine slipped to No. 10.

No. 11 and 12 remains unchanged with the University of California-Davis and Saint Francis holding onto their positions from last week.

Princeton University improved one place to No. 13 from 14th last week to factor in the only change in the bottom 10 of the poll as previous No. 13 the University of Redlands slipped back to No. 16.  The United States Naval Academy and Santa Clara University moved up to No 14 and 15, respectively, to round out the only changes in the No. 10-20 positions.
