Haga & Orr Earn MVP and Coach Awards to Lead 2008 National Collegiate Club All-Tournament Team

ATHENS, Ohio -- Michigan State University's Jon Haga (Sr., Palatine, Ill.) earned the Most Valuable Player award and University of Florida head coach Andy Orr was honored as the tournament's Outstanding Coach to lead the selections to the 2008 National Collegiate Club All-Tournament team.

Haga, who led the Spartans to the 2008 National Collegiate Club Championship, picked up his fourth All-Tournament first team award as he previously was honored on the top squad in 2005, 2006 and 2007.  Teammate Evan Perry (Sr., Rockford, Mich.) notched his second first team award after also garnering the honor in 2007.

2007 National Player of the Year and National Collegiate Club Championship MVP Daniel Harris (Sr., Gilroy, Calif.) of California Polytechnic State University earned his third first team nod following honors in 2006 and 2007, while fellow Mustang Casey Ryan (Jr., Belmont, Calif.) joined Harris on the first team to garner his second All-Tournament award after being named to the second team in 2007.

Brandon Ross (So., San Diego, Calif.) of Cal Poly notched his second award earning first team recognition after receiving a second team nod in 2007, while Ben Shantz (So., Rockford, Mich.) was also recognized on the All-Tournament team for the second time as he received second team honors after earning first team accolades in 2007. 

Tyler Oakes (Gr., El Cajon, Calif.) of Arizona State University was also honored for the second time picking up second time honors after being named to the same team for his performance at the 2007 championship.

Zach Heathman (Sr., Grandville, Mich.) of Grand Valley State experienced the longest gap between All-Tournament honors among the eight players who have been honored more than once as he picked up his second All-Tournament award after being named to the second team in 2005. 

Six players earned their first National Collegiate Club All-Tournament award as Cal Poly's Josh Mix (Sr., Redwood City, Calif.) earned first team honors, while Arizona State's Wesley Sjoholm (Jr., Albuquerque, N.M.), the University of Illinois-Chicago's Andrew Peterson (Jr., Mundelein, Ill.), Florida's Brent Moser (Sr., Lake Mary, Fla.), Dartmouth College's Michael Bazylowicz (Gr., Manchester, Calif.) and Ohio University's Hart Williams (Sr., Upper Arlington, Ohio) were recognized on the second team.
