ATHENS, Ohio --  Alex Lin (Sr., Manoa, Hawaii) and Clint Beall (Sr., Albuquerque, N.M.) both scored pairs of goals to lead No. 10 the University of Colorado to a 7-6 win over host Ohio University in the second round of the 2008 National Collegiate Club Championship. 

The final game of the first day of competition, the game saw limited exclusion opportunities as the teams combined for four ejections and only one exclusion goal in 28 minutes of play.

Ohio jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead 2:02 into the contest as Pete Zien (Sr., Chicago, Ill.) beat Colorado goalie Kevin Webster (Jr., Denver, Colo.) with a rising shot and rolled to a 3-1 lead by the end of the first period as Stephen Leow (Sr., Sylvania, Ohio) punched in an exclusion score at 4:13 and Hart Williams (Sr., Upper Arlington, Ohio) ripped in a shot with 45 seconds left on the clock.

Colorado trimmed the margin back to 3-2 before halftime as Lin scored with 6:15 left in the second period to set up a dramatic second half finish.

The Buffaloes tied the game 19 seconds into the second half as Lin netted his second tally, but Ohio went back in front on back-to-back goals by Willaims on a shot through traffic and a backhand at 4:22 and 3:44, respectively, to take a 5-3 lead.

However, Colorado closed the period with a 3-0 run as Beall scored at 3:18 and 1:58 around a goal by Mike Oetken (Jr., Sacramento, Calif.) at 2:28 to go in front at 6-5 to stay.

The Buffaloes added the eventual game-winner with 5:26 left in the fourth on a shot by Taylor Horowitz (Jr., Upland, Calif.) and Ohio closed the gap to 7-6 before the end of regulation with another score by Zien as Colorado held on for the one-goal victory.

In goal, Brandon Crawford (Jr., Sylvania, Ohio) made seven saves for Ohio, while Webster blocked away four shots for Colorado.

Colorado will next face No. 16 Texas A&M University at 4:00 p.m. on November 15 with a shot at the ninth place game on the line, while Ohio will meet No. 18 the University of Minnesota for 13th place at 1:40 p.m.
