Nov. 3 National Men's Water Polo Statistics Released

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- The National Men's Water Polo Statistics for the week of November 3 were released by the Wagner University Sports Information Office with Collegiate Water Polo Association members among the nation's best for yet another week.

In scoring, seven of the Top 13 scorers play in the CWPA as Bucknell University's Richie Hyden (3rd, 71 goals in 26 games, 2.73 gpg), Iona College's Joe Przekota (5th, 69 goals in 28 games, 2.46 gpg), Johns Hopkins University's Peter Davis (6th, 68 goals in 26 games, 2.62 gpg),Mercyhurst College's Alex Moggridge (10th, 55 goals in 20 games, 2.75 gpg) and Andrew Schonhoff (11th, 55 goals in 22 games, 2.50 gpg), Saint Francis College's Nemanja Pucarevic (12th, 54 goals in 20 games, 2.70 gpg) and George Washington University's Nick Eddy (13th, 54 goals in 26 games, 2.08 gpg) rank at the top of the national rankings.

On the other side of the tank, seven of the nation's 12 best goalies play on the East Coast as Washington & Jefferson College's John Todd (1st, 283 saves in 22 games, 12.86 spg), Johns Hopkins University's Chris Hutchens (4th, 239 saves in 22 games, 10.86 spg), Mercyhurst College's Andy Sekulski (5th, 229 saves in 22 games, 10.41 spg), Fordham University's Timmy Will (11th, 206 saves in 21 games, 9.81 spg), Gannon University's Darren Stone (12th, 205 saves in 18 games, 11.39 spg) and Iona College's Eric Konzem (13th, 204 saves in 26 games, 7.85 spg) rank in the national statistics.

In the team rankings, Saint Francis College ranks third in team offense (239 goals in 20 games, 11.95 gpg), while Brown University (6th, 247 goals in 22 games, 11.23 gpg), Johns Hopkins University (7th, 301 saves in 27 games, 11.15 gpg), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (8th, 175 goals in 16 games, 10.94 gpg), Iona College (13th, 296 goals in 29 games, 10.21 gpg) and Mercyhurst College (15th, 222 goals in 22 games, 10.09 gpg) round out the CWPA representation in the Top 10.

On defense, the CWPA is also represented as Saint Francis College (4th, 144 goals in 20 games, 7.20 gpg), the United States Naval Academy (6th, 176 goals in 23 games, 7.65 gpg) and Mercyhurst College (7th, 174 goals in 22 games, 7.91 gpg) rank among the nation's Top 10 teams in fewest goals allowed.
