MIT's Columbus Leonard Named Nov. 24 Northern Division Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Massachusetts Institute of Technology goalie Columbus Leonard (Fr., San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius) made 22 saves in three games to earn the November 24 Northern Division Rookie of the Week honor and lead the Engineers to a seventh place finish at the 2008 Eastern Championship hosted by the United States Naval Academy.

Against No. 13 Princeton University, he made eight saves in a 15-13 loss before recording five saves in a 10-9 loss to Division III No. 1 ranked Johns Hopkins University.  He concluded his weekend with nine saves in a 10-9 victory over Iona College in the seventh place game.
