Iowa State's Maggie Goldsmith Named March 9 Heartland Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Iowa State University freshman Maggie Goldsmith (Fr., Iowa City, Iowa) earned the March 9 Heartland Division Player of the Week award as she anchored the Cyclones in cage to wins over Grinnell College (12-7 W), Illinois State University (5-0 Forfteit), Carleton College (6-3 W) and Knox College (8-6 W) at the division tournament hosted by Carleton.

Iowa State, which finished undefeated in the division with a 4-0 mark, claimed the No. 2 seed for the division championship tournament on April 18-19 at Grinnell College as the Cyclones lost out to Lindenwood University in a tiebreaker for the top seed.
