Hartwick's Sian Ells-Tewhiu Named March 16 Northern Division Rookie of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Hartwick College utility player Sian Ells-Tewhiu (Fr., Wellington, New Zealand/Queen Margaret College) scored twice and handed out three assists last week to earn mention as the March 16 Northern Division Rookie of the Week and help the No. 13-nationally ranked Hawks to wins over Brown University and Harvard University in CWPA Northern Division action over the weekend.
She scored a goal and dished out three assists in a 16-10 victory over the Harvard Crimson for the Hawks' first win of the weekend, before tallying a second period goal to give the Hartwick a 7-6 lead in an eventual 13-10 come-from-behind win over the Brown Bears.
The award marks Ells-Tewhiu's second Rookie of the Week award as she previously earned the honor on March 2.
